World Refugee Day is celebrated worldwide each year on June 20th. This year there will be a city-wide, family-friendly celebration at Catalina Magnet High School on June 18th. All are welcome! Bring your refugee friends!
The first part of the celebration will consist of a formal program in the school auditorium including comments from local dignitaries, cultural entertainment, and a youth citizenship ceremony. Following the program, there will be a family fun festival with arts & crafts, children’s games, food, and refugee vendors.
Please join us in recognizing this special day to celebrate refugees.
